The Turning Leaf, 16mm,
sound, 3min, 2002
My younger cousin once asked me if I ever made any movies that made any
sense. So I tried to make a Sesame-Street-type animation that anyone could
enjoy. What results is five living leaves playing out a linguistic exercise
in reason that culminates in a poetic ode to the phenomenology of the
five steel leaves that comprise a lens’s aperture.
