Gestalt, 39 Polaroids, 2007

In this variation on the Polaroid Self Portrait, the pieces of film are scattered about all willy-nilly. When shown on the floor, they appear first as a scattered mess/mass, but because of the human ability to recognize human forms, they quickly form a coherent image. The whole equals more than the sum of the parts.
